Out Of Time- HeartlessArik, FLOWERBOY

“I don’t wanna die, but I’m running out of time.”

These are words we all think, some of us more than others. When I was younger I used to be afraid of impending doom. Could be a giant meteor hitting my home. Could be the West Nile Virus. Could be Y2K. (Can you tell I’m a 90’s baby?)

Sometimes it feels hopeless.

As artists, we feel deeply. Our emotions are poured onto the canvas of choice, and often put out for 1,000’s to witness. I am very thankful for artists that wear their hearts on their sleeves. Shoutout to Jreaper for recommending this artist for a blog post, as it’s a refreshing mix up of feelings from what I’ve been listening to lately. Sometimes we need to feel. It’s a strange occurrence that we often overlook that we find the need to create when it’s so difficult to even wake up most days.

So the days we do, we have to make count.

This song is very catchy, and the vocal deliveries were both very well done. Clocking in at just over 2 minutes, it’s one of those ones that you play on repeat. I just can’t get enough of the infectious hook. The intro where the vocals are more compressed and filtered is an amazing touch to really hook the listener in.

Which, hopefully, helps them feel alive.

Even if we feel like we can’t be helped,

At least we’ve helped another.
